The New Year 2022 started off with black-eyed peas, blackened salmon, and sunshine!.

What can I say – we love the K9s!
The purpose of wintering here was primarily medical. ElizaBeth had knee replacement on her right knee. I made two trips to Houston, one to see the dentist and another for my two year ct scan, which was clear. I was iced in when I flew to Houston the first time and found Jumbo Jeaux’s – which was great. We took care of the K9 health issues while here , too.
We got that little cactus when I was going through treatment, it always blooms at the best time to cheer me up!

I decided to try a Grill Grate – learning to use it has been fun. We found a little butcher shop in town.

Our little firm FM Excel won a job at Texas State, we visited the campus and then went to eat at the Gristmill in Gruene. I was able to eat with my friend David Schwarz and his wife, he is a fellow cancer survivor and soon to be published author.

The Navigator arranged a day trip to Celina.

Pat and the boys went camping at Lake Ray Roberts State Park Isle Du Bois unit and invited Izzy and me to dinner. He even had jalapeno poppers.

Spring has sprung!
