Sightseeing in La Grange TX – Czech Center, Texas Quilt Museum, and Roundtop

ElizaBeth had always wanted to visit the Texas Quilt Museum and we also ran across the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center. Driving in, we came through Roundtop, Texas, which looks like it wants to become the next antique center of Texas. If you’ve ever watched Barnwood Builders you’ll know they just opened a place – and we had to see it.

ElizaBeth went to the Texas Quilt Museum, crossing off a bucket list item.

We really enjoyed our day at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center. Like a lot of things we do, we had no idea it was here, we just found it from the “things to do” brochures.

We took a drive back through Roundtop, we wanted to see the Barnyard Builders Boneyard. The little square downtown was cute, and their Volunteer Fire Station was well done – with a replica bell tower on top. We also stopped in a large antique store.

We also took a trip to the Texas Heroes Museum at the Old Fayette County Jail, but it was closed due to Covid. Every town has it’s own special hardware store, and it’s another stop I like to make.
