Paducah was selected because I was traveling to Hononegah Community High School for an assessment, and United Airlines flew from Barkley Regional Airport. The National Quilt Museum was there, as was Hancock’s, two places Elizabeth wanted to see.

We also celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary and my 68th birthday. The park owners let me ship my gift there so I could surprise my wife with windchimes. For our anniversary, we ate at Outback, then for my birthday, we went to Logan’s Roadhouse. We also had Mexican food at El Torito.

Elizabeth visited the National Quilt Museum and Hancock’s while I was traveling.

After I went to Rockton IL and traveled back through Cape Girardeau, Elizabeth found the Railroad Museum for us to tour. Then we walked down to the riverfront on the Ohio River and had an ice cream date at Forever Sweet Creamery.
