We went to Point, TX to attend the Reed family reunion – ElizaBeth’s family. Particularly when you get into rural Texas, the patriotism is really on display. State pride is evident all over, too, with the Texas flag painted on barns and even gates.

We stayed at the Thousand Trails Lake Tawakoni campground and were surprised at the size of the park, which was a convenient 15 minutes from Vic’s house where the reunion took place. Julia, Nick, Lily, and Seth were able to join us.
These are some of the park pictures, Izzy lost the ball in that grass but a crisis was averted when we found it. Afterward, everyone took a nap.
Of course, we were there for the reunion.
There were tractor rides for the small children and lots of games including an egg toss where ElizaBeth dropped ours on what can only be described as an easy catch from my gentle toss.
We had brisket on Saturday, and capped off the day with fireworks. As pyrotechnics are prone to do, these went haywire and were quite exciting.
If you look closely at the end, you can see everyone scatter.
