Kolona IA and Windmill Ridge

Windmill Ridge was superquiet – there was only one other person!

The park was beautiful, located on a hill overlooking the town.

We ate at Kalona Brewing Co, and had lunch with Don and Sylvia at Tuscan Moon. We bought sweet corn from some young folks selling by the roadside, and cooked up some Amish grass fed ribeye from Springtown Grocery with beef rub from Kalona General Store.

We walked over to and through the Kalona Historical Village and the Iowa Mennonite Museum and Archives. It was fun to learn about the different religions and cultures.

The town of Kalona is such a cool place.
