We finally made it to the long planned commissioning ceremony!
There were many photo-ops at the commissioning ceremony.
The original plans were for us to take care of Libbey, Hunter, and Davis, but when that didn’t work out, we went to the Waterfront, which as it turned out, was a top spot for dining.
There was a pre-commissioning ceremony at the Submarine Force Library and Museum, just off base. The museum is home to the USS Nautilus, the first nuclear powered submarine.
As we always seem to do, we stumbled across a great museum – the Mystic Seaport Museum, where we had fish and chips for lunch.
