We came here on the spur of the moment – adding Michigan to the map of states slept in and the Gerald Ford Museum to the list of Presidential Museums and sites visited.
The Gerald Ford Museum was much like the President it honors, humble, respectful, and patriotic. Ironically, we were there on the anniversary of Nixon’s resignation, August 8, 1972.
We had a couple of good local meals, Westside Social, Rainbow Grill, and Los Ranchos. We found Field’s Fabrics.
The Steamboat RV Park was right on the Grand River.
We went on the steamboat tour, the Grand Lady, and were rewarded with a bald eagle and an osprey.
