Windmill State Recreation Area
We stayed two days at Fort Kearney SRA and then moved 13 miles down the road to Gibbon and Windmill SRA. We originally thought we would have to dump the sewer and fill the water tanks, so we thought we would use that time to visit a different park.
After three days of activity, we relocated to Windmill SRA for two days and then stocked up on groceries, dumped the sewer, and filled the water tank. Izzy and I played ball, and I did get to try out the “bream killer” fishing lure I bought in Arkansas at Lake Frierson State Park. We also had date brunch at Good Evans. This park had an archery range, swimming hole, and horseshoes.
We did make it by the Nebraska Firefighters Museum & Education Center, there are many more pictures on the museum page.
